The first step in grouping products for sale is by using tags.  In the ecommerce manager, select an item for sale in the item manager by clicking on it's Edit button.  In the 'Type a new tag field' in the bottom right of the screen, type a logical tag name then click the New Tag button.  For example, to group all the tote bags you may sell, create a tag called 'tote'  In the 'Select a tag' dropdown, then select that tote tag which will apply it to the item.  Apply the tag to all your other tote bag items in a similar fashion in preparation for the second step.
