How to create links
To convert some text into a link, simply highlight the text you want to be the link and then click on the link icon in the text controls toolbar. This will open up the Link Dialogue.
You can create the following types of link:
- An external link to another website
- An internal link to a page within your own website
- An anchor link to another part of the page you are on
- An email link - this will open up an email client when someone clicks on it
- A file link - for example to open a PDF in another browser tab
Make your selection in the Link Dialogue an then click OK. This will close the Link Dialogue and apply the link to the selected text. The link won't be active in the editor, but if you save and Preview you can test out the link on the Preview page.
How to edit a link
If you want to edit an existing link, you can either double click on it, or place the cursor within the link, and then click the link icon in the text controls toolbar. Either will open up the Link Dialogue.
To remove a link completely, place the cursor within the link, and then click on the Remove Link icon in the text controls toolbar.
