An anchor link is a nav, text or image link that takes the user to a specific part of page rather than just the top of the page as for a regular link. This tutorial shows how an anchor links can also be used to navigate to a specific part of a different page. The transition to another section is automatically animated as the page scrolls smoothly down to the relevant section.
To add an anchor link, create a link in the normal way, but when the link dialogue box opens, select the internal link tab and firstly choose the page you'd like to link to in the drop down menu. Secondly, in the anchor field, choose the section of that page you'd like to link to in the drop down.
N.B It helps to have your sections named in an orderly fashion to avoid confusion when finding the section you'd like to link to.
